    Talented and fast

My friend's neice Lizz came to see me in my booth at Creativ Festival two weekends ago.  She bought a great stash of fabric mixing Foxfield by Tula Pink and the always beautiful Stof Uno grey raindrops.  (Clever girl to put them together).  A couple of days later she sent me these pictures.

    Baby Quilt Done

I finally had time to sit and put this baby quilt together.  Just finished.  I'm really happy with the binding, I love a striped edge. Have done up a few kits for the Creativ Festival next weekend.

    To the moooooon

Yeah, it's here.  I love all things cosmic but this is one of my favourite space themed designs.  it's the combination of serious math around the orbit calculations, and the Jetson's spacecraft gliding in between.  Space humour.

Thread Riding Hood Bundle and give away.

Yippee another excellent blogger has curated a unique and exclusive fabric bundle for Fabric Spark.  Introducing the Thread Riding Hood bundle from Sherri, a talented and creative sewist with a lot of charm and great taste and a fun sewing blog call Thread Riding Hood.  Sherri collected a great selection of fabrics to mix up a little whimsy, deep colour, graphics, nice neutrals and dark intensity. Her bundle is a standout and would make a great set of throw pillows, a fun book bag or a dramatic set of table linens (everyone would fight over the butterflies and hoppy dots).

She's offering a give away of this bundle on her website so check it out and win one for yourself.  What would you do with these fabrics?

    Feeling some Piranha Love

I have to write about this fantastic fabric.  It's hard to find great designs for boys that avoid the cliches, my favourite 10 year old boy has good taste.  I love the Zombies, and especially love the Zombie boxers.  The next on my list was this fishy winner.  The colours and simple design are great, but the underbite is the best part.

Wouldn't they be great as pajamas, a duvet cover, or as the main event in a patchwork quilt?  Go on...take the plunge.

    Foxfield from Tula Pink

Foxfield from Tula Pink arrived this week.  This is a designer who uses the natural world for her starting point.  She always features living things but her colour choices, graphics, and the interplay of hyper detail with simple ideas make her collections stand out.  She is an original.
